Midway

In Midway, I use experiences from my own life to discuss the process of getting to know yourself and identify your potential. Even though the works are personal, they are also open and have an abstract expression that makes the message less obvious at first sight.

You Look and You See it Not

You Look and You See it Not is a collection of paintings that I worked with between 2010 and 2012. In these paintings I used my triangular style combined with figurative elements and symbols to discuss existential questions. During the time I worked with these paintings, I visited Egypt twice, and the paintings are heavily influenced by ancient Egypt.

Triangular Perspectives

Triangular Perspectives was my first project after I finished Einar Granum school of art. In Triangular Perspectives I worked a lot with the thought of how the community defines truths and how this affect people in their daily life and prevents new ways of thinking. A key question I discussed is the difficulties in building common spaces for different individuals without compromising the values that makes peoples life meaningful. In Triangular Perspectives, people are longing for their own space. Trapped inside the constructed and claustrophobic world they become unhappy. The search for an inclusive community has resulted in an endless struggle against compromises. The community has failed.
